Lessons From the Psalms - Psalm 92

Welcome to Lessons From the Psalms with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Psalm 92. Psalm 92 is an anonymous psalm - meaning we do not know the author of this psalm. But we do know that it is a psalm of praise. I will be breaking this psalm down into four segments - verses 1-4; verses 5-9; verses 10-11; and verses 12-15. Several takeaways from this psalm are the following:
We should always be praising God for His goodness, and for all of the things that He has brought into our lives; Our ways are not the ways of God, nor are our thoughts the thoughts of God. He has so much more knowledge and insight than we do. He knows what is good for us and what we have need of. There will always be people in our lives that come against us & the implication of this psalm is though, at times, it seems that they have the upper hand, in the end we shall triumph over them. Verses 10 & 11 remind us that he has anointed us (meaning that whatever God has called us to do - He gives us the grace & ability to see that we can be successful in that venture).
I ask that you consider these three things:
1. It is good to give thanks to the Lord And to sing praises to your name, O Most High.
2. But you, Lord, are on high forevermore.
3. He is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in Him.
