[00:00:40] In the beginning in verse 1, do not be envious of evil men nor desire to be with them. For their heart, devises violence and their lips talk of trouble making.

[00:00:54] Through wisdom a house is built, and by understanding it is established. By knowledge the rooms are filled with all precious and pleasant riches. A wise man is strong.

[00:01:07] Yes, a man of knowledge increases strength. For by wise counsel you will wage your own war and in a multitude of counselors they are a safety. Wisdom is too lofty for a cool. He does not open his mouth in the gate.

[00:01:26] He who plots to do evil will be called a schemer. The devising of foolishness is sin and the scoffer is an abomination to men. If you faint in the day of adversity, your strength is small.

[00:01:43] Deliver those who are drawn toward death and hold back those stumbling to the slaughter. If you say surely we did not know this, does not he who weighs the hearts consider it? He who keeps your soul, does he not know it?

[00:02:04] And will he not render to each man according to his deeds? My son, eat honey because it is good and the honey comb which is sweet to your taste.

[00:02:17] So shall the knowledge of wisdom be to your soul? If you have found it, there is a prospect and your hope will not be cut off. Do not lie in weight or wicked man against the dwelling of the righteous. Do not plunder his resting place for a righteous man may fall seven times and rise again. But the wicked shall fall by calamity.

[00:02:47] Do not rejoice when your enemy falls and do not let your heart be glad when he stumbles. Lest the Lord see it and it displays him and he turn away his wrath from him.

[00:03:02] Do not fret because of evil doers nor be envious of the wicked for there will be no prospect for the evil man. The lamp of the wicked will be put out. My son, fear the Lord and the King do not associate with those given to change.

[00:03:23] For their calamity will rise suddenly and who knows the ruin those two can bring. These things also belong to the wise. It is not good to show partiality in judgment.

[00:03:40] He who says to the wicked you are righteous. Him, the people will curse. Nations will abhor him but those who review the wicked will have delight and a good blessing will come upon them.

[00:03:57] He who gives a right answer kisses the lips. Prepare your outside work. Make it fit for yourself in the field and afterward build your house. Do not be a witness against your neighbor without cause for what you deceive with your lips. Do not say I will do to him just as he has done to me.

[00:04:24] I will render to the man according to his work. I went by the field of the lazy man and by the vineyard of the man devoid of understanding and there it was all overgrown with thorns.

[00:04:40] It's surface was covered with metals. It stone wall was broken down. When I saw it, I considered it well. I looked on it and received instruction. A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of a hand to rest. So shall your poverty come like a prowler and you need like an armed man.

[00:05:07] Friends, I have a special treat for you today. I have Andrea Edmund back on and she is a second time visitor to this to this podcast and she was earlier on. I believe it was episode number two ninety seven and let me clarify that it was.

[00:05:28] Two ninety seven and that was May 23rd of last year. So Andrea has been almost a year and a half since you have been on and I do want to clarify a little bit of things because for anyone who did not.

[00:05:46] Listen to the first podcast with Andrea. I had initially invited Andrea to come on because Andrea has been through something that God never wants anyone to go through and she lost a child and you know if you would Andrea, I know it still hurts but it's been a year and a half and it was okay when we talked to you're in a half.

[00:06:10] So if you would just share just a little bit about that and what happened and how you were dealing with that and overcoming that.

[00:06:21] I'm some of my nine year old daughter Elena love she passed in her sleep on Thursday morning, 2020 early November like right the week of election so 2020.

[00:06:39] And yeah, as you know, a mother's worst nightmare of course.

[00:06:47] And so she, you know, she went into the arms of Jesus, you know long before I ever imagined she should ever go and so.

[00:07:02] Yeah, so during that time like that during that time I just I don't know I was praising God and you know just trying to.

[00:07:16] You know recognize who I am and who you know the fact that we are in Christ and you know we don't lose, you know believers in Christ they just like our Andrew say today they're just transferred you know to a different place and so.

[00:07:41] You know, but I'm thought it's so good because I was at a church in Sharksburg Georgia called forward church.

[00:07:50] Our Clint and Sarah buyers they are the pastors and what an amazing church family that by the grace of God I have been there.

[00:08:01] You know being reinforced with.

[00:08:05] You know correct doctrine and just amazing teaching you know solidifying envy that God is good the devil is bad and so.

[00:08:16] Absolutely and and Andrew I'm just going to you know we had talked about John 10 10 and how the thief comes but the steel to kill into destroy and I mentioned on the previous podcast that it was Satan.

[00:08:32] And I also made reference to the fact that some pastors even pastors say well he just took her home to be with another one with a cryer and and that is not right God is good God is only good.

[00:08:46] So anyway thanks for sharing that I just wanted to bring that back up for those of you who are not aware who Andrea is and I have selected a certain number.

[00:08:58] I'm not exactly how many people will be coming on an irregular basis but Andrea will be one of my regular guests.

[00:09:06] I'm going to have a painter 20 people on on a recurring basis and so I'd like for you to just keep Andrea's name in mind and I would like for you to keep her in prayer just the fact that she continues and she you know you'll never get over the loss of a child just like you'll never get over the loss of a spouse or you know what parent.

[00:09:26] If you deeply love someone the hurt never goes away but time can somehow make it seem a little bit lighter.

[00:09:36] But anyway Andrea what we lived all year a month a year and a half ago you were getting ready to go on your mission trip to hungry and I'm just going to add this because Judy and I just got back from visiting country and the country is a beautiful place an absolutely beautiful place.

[00:09:55] So if you would just keep get us up to date with what happened on your mission trip how much success did you have and did you feel your mission was accomplished.

[00:10:09] So our mission was to just go share Christ you know and so I learned a lot.

[00:10:18] I want you know what I didn't know when I when we before we went was like the history and but you know what to expect.

[00:10:29] And when I was there you know after a couple of days I started realizing wow their churches you know their churches and it is a conservative country and you can walk on a back alley in the dark.

[00:10:43] I mean it is safe there and downtown Budapest like walk down dark alleys and night like there is no there's like crime no there are no billboards with you know.

[00:10:59] And I mean it's like there's nothing interesting I don't know is it's totally different from America and you know.

[00:11:29] You know the people I met and we're just very, very friendly so if you would what was your experience with the people and how much success did you have ministering to these people.

[00:12:15] So I'm success.

[00:12:15] You know changed your heart you know because that's what reaches the people is when they can see you know what has got done for you and so.

[00:12:26] That was that was going to new for me because I'm I you know kind of can't go back around of you know you hit the five points you know you know and you just you share well Christ is done and so but that doesn't.

[00:12:41] You know I'm sure that works in some cases but I think it's better when you can touch people's hearts and so we did experience success with that and people's hearts were touched but I think the.

[00:12:58] You know some there were aspects of the culture that we I just I wasn't aware of like if you you know if you take a look at the countries.

[00:13:09] You know like a pole of you know what what are the different religions whatever of course Christianity outweighs the other religions but it's really.

[00:13:23] What we found is just you know it's religion you know.

[00:13:28] It's not really relationship and so what we would share about you know having a relationship with Christ.

[00:13:35] You could tell that people just you know they didn't have a they weren't that that wasn't something that they really heard of.

[00:13:47] So and you would.

[00:13:48] Yeah I'm just going to stop you right there because you know like I said I mean we were over in Europe for 19 days and you know we also went to Italy and Austria and Slovenia and Croatia.

[00:14:01] What I found I found the people have a love for God and they have a love for God I saw people going into the churches I saw people go in and drop their half euro coin and light a candle.

[00:14:13] I saw their reverence for God and for Mary I mean most of the churches usually are Catholic and you sense this.

[00:14:21] But and where you hit the nail on the head I don't believe they grasp anything about a personal relationship with God and that's and you go and I know being at parents for as long as we were.

[00:14:37] That's difference in our religion and I don't like the word religion whenever I hear the word really.

[00:14:45] It's almost like a cuss word it's not it's not anything because it's not about religion it's about a relationship and that's something you know they just really don't really have there but what I found when we went on our mission trip to Alaska is that actually I felt that we ministered more to our team.

[00:15:06] That's a whole then we did to the population that we went to and I'll still Alaska so it does that bring any bells I mean was at the case at all with you.

[00:15:21] There were people who really got breakthroughs I will say that like I you know there were people who experience breakthroughs and just.

[00:15:32] You know they they they they got breakthroughs I remember one one young lady she she had experienced sexual trauma in her childhood and I just remember her.

[00:15:48] You know this having breakthrough and and when she shared one night if I you know it didn't do anything to me you know I've heard you know testimonies like that so.

[00:16:00] I mean I'm just being honest you know it didn't it didn't move me but it moved that whole.

[00:16:13] I mean you know it's so funny when you talk about young people Andrea you know I'm obviously a lot older than you are but you're a little bit older than some of the people that goes on these mission trips and you know you're talking about teenagers or young 20s.

[00:16:33] And they just get a kick out of things and you know a lot of things speak to them that we have kind of overcome that because we've grown a lot we've experienced life more.

[00:16:44] And because we have a lot more maturity and so we've seen more but anyway that's interesting thanks for sharing that what I'd like to do Andrea is go back because.

[00:17:26] We left.

[00:17:26] And I was for you.

[00:17:28] Well surprised.

[00:17:32] After after I did the interview with you like a month later God changed that from business to ministry school so I'm glad you were glad you're able to share that no no no no I'm glad because.

[00:17:45] You know I had heard of I had like ministry school had never been on my mind like I had like several ideas of like the schools that I wanted to do like when I was in Atlanta I would be like oh yeah I'm going to do the business school and the print.

[00:18:11] And I'm going to do that because I wasn't going to get a regular job so anyway I scrapped that plan that you know we're going to be back in Florida and a lot of things Andrea has to do with this podcast.

[00:18:29] This is just one of the things that I do I started a YouTube channel so I stay real busy with that as well.

[00:18:37] But ministry school okay so you were great more so share with great well great what did you learn from Greg how impactful was that for your life moving forward.

[00:18:49] That was the most surprising impact I think I've ever had.

[00:18:55] Because so last summer.

[00:18:59] So I worked with.

[00:19:02] I work with it alongside the editing team for the gospel truth broadcast show and so you know we we the you know the editors will put the project together you know the the

[00:19:16] film and team the film get into the editors that they put it together and my our team we watch through the program to make sure everything you know is great.

[00:19:25] And so last summer.

[00:19:28] This job and I'm sitting here just watching Andrew you know teach.

[00:19:32] All day every day and work.

[00:19:35] And it just began to hit me like this is after I graduated from second year.

[00:19:41] And I'm just seeing like it was a moment there be moments where I'm like oh my god the word of God is everything and it was just hitting me so hard.

[00:19:52] And you know the desire like the words says God will give you the desires of your heart and I used to think that that man oh why desire this car and I desire that thing and I desire this and that.

[00:20:06] And I'm not going to say that no he won't do that but I now see that.

[00:20:13] His desires he puts them in your heart.

[00:20:17] And so I like I that's the level that I see that scripture right now like God took me up on that scripture where he will give you.

[00:20:27] The desires of your heart like he puts them in the.

[00:20:30] Yeah.

[00:20:32] Yeah, Andrew you have to stop you right there and that is Psalm 37 for and the beginning of that verse says delight yourself.

[00:20:41] There for in the Lord and the key there Andrea is to delight yourself in the Lord and just what you said I mean I want a pinpoint exactly what you're saying because if you're delighting yourself in the Lord what you're doing is delighting yourself in his word.

[00:21:00] Yeah, is key and you're delighting yourself in his word and if you are immersed in his word your desires will become what his desires for you are.

[00:21:15] And they'll begin to blend together how does that.

[00:21:18] And it's so spot on so spot on like what you said that.

[00:21:25] And so like you said his desires became my desire because I had no desire for ministry school.

[00:21:31] I didn't roll up hearing that oh, you're a minister or you're you know one day you're going to preach like I never heard that.

[00:21:41] That just wasn't something that I saw myself the lens that I had for Andrea that didn't wasn't included in the package and so when he said ministry school, you know he didn't say it just it.

[00:21:58] It was what I wanted and I was like whoa my desire it like what's in me has changed and I know I need to go to ministry school is not trying to go to busy school that's not going to be good.

[00:22:11] Yeah, I mean it could be good but like it's not going to be good because you know when you when you want something and you try to deny it.

[00:22:22] And you do something else is like that's not good so you know Andrea what I want to do is stop you right there to make a point and for anyone listening in today's audience this is what I'm going to say you know when I.

[00:22:37] When I was a teacher you know I used to tell people wrongly you can be anything that you want to be.

[00:22:46] But that is not really what I should have said at the time I wasn't really a strong Christian so now I would say pray to God and have God reveal to you what his desire for you is what you should be doing.

[00:23:35] God will answer you and really Andrea before you do anything.

[00:23:36] To look like yours help me see what you see help me hear what you hear like Jesus said I only do with the I see my father doing.

[00:23:48] Only say what he wants me to say and like if we ever you know like if God could just get our hearts that just flow in line with that I just feel like.

[00:24:00] Man we will be so lit for him you know and it's like he's always talking he's always speaking it's just like if you had eyes to see like all the different radio waves that are floating around you and you know whatever going in different directions or whatever.

[00:24:17] If you could put on whatever kind of you know lenses or goggles to be able to see that but you know if you don't have a radio or like a some type of antenna or satellite whatever to pick those.

[00:24:30] You know brick if you're not dialed into that that stuff just goes right past you.

[00:24:35] But as when you get dialed in first of all turn you know get plugged in and get dialed to that frequency and you will hear.

[00:24:44] And so I think that's what happened to me last summer after graduation and just sitting there at work eight hours a day listening to Andrew teach.

[00:24:54] Yeah, you know and Andrea you really have to be at tune with a spirit you know I'm going to go back to Romans eight six to be currently minded is dear that to be spiritually minded as life and peace and I believe I brought that up the first time we met.

[00:25:11] But you know I want to go back I want to piggyback off what you said because you talked about Jesus saying I only do what I see my father do I only speak what I hear him say but Paul also got it and Paul is letters he sat there and he said it is no longer I who live but cried lives in me.

[00:25:33] And if you would share with the audience how that can happen to anyone.

[00:25:42] That is such an excellent question is no longer I who lives but Christ lives in me we're one we're literally one with God and spirit whoever's a believer you were one with God you're the same spirit with him and so.

[00:26:01] You know he himself bore our sin that we might you know die to stand and live to righteousness.

[00:26:14] And so.

[00:26:16] And it's and it's one in a sense you you lean into him you know you lean into his influence you you see him you're checking him with him what are you saying you know what what are you you know looking at him what is he saying and wanting to do in this situation.

[00:26:35] That you you lose yourself you know you're you're not plugged in and dialed into what your flesh wants and what your flesh knows and you know.

[00:26:48] What your flesh has strength to do and what you know what what you know you want to achieve you know with your strength.

[00:26:57] But you become alive to him and you humble yourself under the mighty hand of God.

[00:27:03] Amen that is a powerful place to be under the hand of the almighty God.

[00:27:11] And when you humble yourself on the hand of the almighty God and lean into his influence and you do would you see him doing you are a magnet of God's grace.

[00:27:21] That's when you are dangerous to the devil you're dangerous.

[00:27:26] You know I'm going to bring up a scripture reference to what you talked about humility and you know Peter was another one and a lot of times people frown on Peter because he denied Jesus three times.

[00:27:37] But my God if you read first and second Peter you're going to you're all you're going to sense his power every single word in those eight chapters I believe there's five and pay first Peter and three chapters and second Peter but in chapter five of first Peter Peter tells us to clothe ourselves in humility.

[00:28:01] And and you mentioned humility but in order to clothe yourself it reminds me of Ephesians chapter six when we have to put on the arm of God Peter is telling us that we have to put on humility.

[00:28:16] It's not our nature to be.

[00:28:20] So, and gosh our time is running out and and I want to keep this short and I'm purposely trying to keep these between 30 and 35 minutes so people will go god lead that's too short and that's my point.

[00:28:33] I want to have you back on again we'll pick up right we left off.

[00:28:38] I'm going to give you about two minutes if you would share why people need to receive Jesus today in their lives and lead us in a prayer.

[00:28:50] Why do you need Jesus?

[00:28:53] Wow that's an excellent question.

[00:28:58] We need Jesus in this life and in the afterlife.

[00:29:04] You know, when it's.

[00:29:08] It gets cold here in Colorado.

[00:29:11] And if you decide that you want to go outside of your house in the middle of February when it is negative six degrees and you are not clothed with pants long flu shirt some boots because it's like, you know.

[00:29:28] Ten inches of snow and a nice coat.

[00:29:32] And I have what in her and gloves.

[00:29:36] Yeah, absolutely.

[00:29:38] If you try to go out.

[00:29:41] Unclosed.

[00:29:43] You will find yourself with a problem.

[00:29:46] And so if you transition from this life and you are not clothed with Christ you're not in him and he is not in you.

[00:29:56] You will find yourself within the eternal problem.

[00:30:01] Okay, and so the thing is.

[00:30:06] Some people they try to wait.

[00:30:07] Wait it out.

[00:30:09] Don't do that.

[00:30:11] Christ is given us so much.

[00:30:14] To partake of in this lifetime.

[00:30:17] We we are joint airs with Christ those who are believers.

[00:30:21] And then the more you humble yourself under the mighty hand God lean into his grace.

[00:30:28] But I grace will you want just to come and mag the for his grace.

[00:30:33] And you will see so many blessings manifested in your life as you lean into his influence and lean into his word.

[00:30:41] The light yourself in his word humble yourself.

[00:30:45] And and all that is it's just.

[00:30:49] It's just listening to him and it's just knowing that he is wisdom and proper to talk about whist and is the principle thing get wisdom.

[00:30:59] Get understanding.

[00:31:01] And unfortunately we're living in a world where people just they just pledge allegiance to just a whole lot of foolishness.

[00:31:09] Give your allegiance to God lean into his wisdom.

[00:31:13] Get understanding from him people change your life.

[00:31:16] He will make it better.

[00:31:19] He will take you know the hard places and the hard things that have come and he will make it good for you.

[00:31:28] He really will in this lifetime.

[00:31:31] And then in the next lifetime, oh my god, words cannot even explain what we have to look forward to.

[00:31:36] So you as why except Jesus Christ, he is so many blessings that he wants to overwhelm you within this lifetime.

[00:31:45] But if you're just seeking, hum to yourself and be patient, you will see it.

[00:31:50] You will see it come to pass.

[00:31:54] And then we'll you know when we leave this world, we're transferred into you know that you know that that heavenly place.

[00:32:02] It's just going to be, it's going to be an overwhelming litre of amazing poor.

[00:32:07] Ever forever.

[00:32:10] So yeah.

[00:32:11] Hey man.

[00:32:12] Well let's just close with prayer.

[00:32:14] We just have two minutes left and Father God, I thank you and I recognize I have need of a Savior.

[00:32:20] And Father God, I just invite you to come into my heart.

[00:32:23] I ask the lead me and guide me from this point forward.

[00:32:26] I make you my board and Savior.

[00:32:29] Now, may the Lord bless you and keep you.

[00:32:33] The Lord make us say, shine upon you and be gracious to you.

[00:32:37] The Lord lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace.
