Lessons From the Psalms - Psalm 89

Welcome to Lessons From the Psalms with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Psalm 89. Psalm 89 is attributed to Ethan the Ezrahite and is titled Remembering the Covenant with David, and Sorrow for Lost Blessings. Friends, King David is known as a man after God's own heart. After reading this lengthy psalm there are three things I ask that you consider:
1. I will sing of the mercies of the Lord forever (Friends, God will always be merciful and faithful to us - even when we sometimes are unfaithful to Him).
2. Our shield belongs to the Lord, And our king to the Holy One of Israel (here the author is referring to God) - Friends, we should dedicate our lives to God as well today.
3. My covenant I will not break, Nor alter the word that has gone out of my lips. Friends, these words are speaking of God's goodness even to anyone who puts their trust in God (and His son Jesus) even today.
