Lessons From the Psalms - Psalm 88

Welcome to Lessons From the Psalms with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Psalm 88. Of the first 88 psalms this is the most depressing and there is no resolution. Psalm 88 is attributed to the sons of Korah, but specifically to a man named Heman, the Exrahite. The biggest takeaways I take from this psalm is that sometimes things happen in our life that we were not expecting. The way we respond to these things will greatly determine whether we lead successful lives or whether we become depressed - which this man has done. The one thing I want to get across to the audience is that the author blames his woes on God - when they should be attributed to Satan himself. Satan is the thief, and goes about destroying our lives in any way he can. My suggestion is that you turn your eyes upon Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith. Receive Jesus today as your Lord, and Savior and seek Him in prayer for anything going on in your life, and He will answer you.
