Welcome to Lessons From the Psalms with Bill Kelley. On today's podcast we will be going over Psalm 75. First of all I will read the 10 verses of this beautiful psalm. Psalm 75 was written by Asaph & was originally written to the Chief Musician. This means that this psalm was originally performed during the worship service and was sung by the congregation. I will then break down this psalm. In verse 1 the psalmist and the congregation are praising God (probably singing to God). In verses 2-5 God responds to the praise of His people. He declares that He is the ultimate judge and that the people of earth should be purposeful in the things they do on earth. In verses 6-9 the congregation agrees with God that He is, in fact, the judge of all the earth. Verse 10 closes with God Himself speaking to His people - declaring that the righteous will prevail, and that the wicked will be cut off.
