Welcome to Lessons From the Psalms with Bill Kelley. On today's podcast we will be going over Psalm 72. Psalm 72 is one of two psalms ascribed to King Solomon - son of King David (who wrote the majority of the Book of Psalms). On today's lesson I will go over the commentary found in my Bible (the Nelson Study Bible) for this psalm. This psalm is a messianic psalm and really is talking about our Lord Jesus. I will then ask people to get comfortable and relax (and meditate) as I go over these 20 verses. I will then review verses 15-17 (and go over the commentary for them). Then I will read verses 18 & 19 (and go over the commentary for them). Finally, I will read verse 20 (and go over the commentary for that verse). Psalm 72 is a beautify psalm and ends the 2nd portion of the Book of Psalms.
