Lessons From the Psalms - Psalm 71

Welcome to Lessons From the Psalms with Bill Kelley. On today's podcast I will be going over Psalm 71. Psalm 71 is an anonymous psalm, but it is evident that the author is an elderly gentleman. Since this is a pretty lengthy psalm I invite the audience to get comfortable and relax prior to my reading this psalm. I will then go over three points (each highlighted by two verses to emphasize each point):
1. In you, O Lord, I put my trust (verses 1 & 5 emphasize this points)
2. God has always come through for him (verses 9 & 18 go over the fact that the author is not in his later years of life - but states that he will consistently praise God for His goodness)
3. Regardless of what you are going through, God will see to it that you are victorious in the end (verse 19 & 20 talk about the good times and the hard times of life. Both will eventually come our way, but God is always faithful, and in the end will see that we end up being victorious over whatever comes against us)
