Lessons From the Psalms - Psalm 70

Welcome to Lessons From the Psalms with Bill Kelley. On today's podcast we will be going over Psalm 70. Psalm 70 is a reprise of Psalm 40: verses 13-17. King David is the author of this psalm, and was so adamant about these verses that he felt compelled to pen them again. David is pleading with God to not allow his enemies to get the best of him. He asks God to make his enemies realize who they're trying to harm - and for God to ensure that no harm does, indeed, come to him. In verse 4 he reminds everyone to truly put their trust in God, and in God alone. In versed 5, David comes to the realization that, although he is king, he is NOT God, and he is mere man.
