Lessons from the Psalms - Psalm 7

Welcome to Lessons from the Psalms. Hello. This is Bill Kelley and I'll be your host. Today we will take a look at Psalm 7. Psalm 7 was written by King David, a King of Israel who lived about 1,000 prior to Jesus coming to earth. This particular psalm was sung by King David to God Himself. In this psalm David is informing God that he is innocent of what his enemies are saying that he did. Throughout the psalm David declares his innocence and asks God to give his enemy what he righteously deserves. In the end David says that, regardless of what happens that he will praise the Lord. There is much wisdom in this psalm and much that we can learn as well. Sometimes we are accused of doing things that we are not responsible for. We need to declare our innocence and trust that God will intervene and make things right. This psalm is a very good representation of this. David puts his trust in God, as should we each and every day of our lives.
