Welcome to Lessons From the Psalms with Bill Kelley. On today's podcast we will be going over Proverb 69. Since Psalm 69 is rather lengthy I begin the lesson by asking those who are able to close their eyes, get comfortable, and meditate on this beautiful psalm as I read it. This Psalm is attributed to David, but is rather truly a prophetic psalm about what Jesus had to endure during His final days (including dying on a cross for each and every one of us). By the end of this psalm there are three things I ask that you consider:
1. When it seems like we are drowning in life, we must seek God (I will read verses 1-3 prior to mentioning this point).
2. When it seems like everyone is against us, we must put our trust in God (I will read verse 4 prior to mentioning this point).
3. Jesus is our salvation (I will read verses 14-18 prior to mentioning this vital point).
