Welcome to Lessons From the Psalms with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Psalm 68. Psalm 68 is ascribed to King David, the king of Israel many years ago. It is a wonderful psalm and illustrates the glory of God in His goodness to Israel. I will begin by going over verses 1 & 35 - (the first and last verses of this beautiful psalm). I will go over verse 4 - which tells us that God rides the clouds - after all He created the clouds, as well as the heavens. I will visit verse 8 - which states that God will provide the rain need both on earth and in our lives as well. Verse 11 talks about the word - the living Word - Jesus Christ Himself. Verse 19 reminds us that God is our salvation (actually His son Jesus is - that is the price He paid by dying on the cross at Calvary). I will close with verse 28 - reminding us that God will give us the strength necessary to have success in our lives.
