Welcome to Lessons From the Psalms with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Psalm 55. Psalm 55 is attributed to King David, the king of Israel about 1,000 years before Jesus Christ roamed the earth. This is a psalm of lament. David comes to the realization that the troubles that are currently confronting him are not from his enemies, but from someone whom he had always considered a friend (and someone he could always count on). It is a lesson that we need to be mindful of who we select as friends, and a true reminder that we should primarily put our trust in the Lord our God (and His son Jesus).
