Welcome to Lessons From the Psalms with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Psalm 53. This psalm is attributed to King David and is almost identical to psalm 14. After reading the psalm I will break this psalm down verse by verse. Verse 1 talks about the fool (one who ignores God).Verse 2 reminds us that God is always watching us and what we're doing. Verse 3 reminds us that, not matter how hard we try, we will still make mistakes from time to time. That is why need to trust Him to help us. Verses 4 & 5 are a prophetic pronouncement of the final judgement on the wicked. There will be a time on earth when there will be no more wickedness for us to contend with. Verse 6 closes with a reminder that Jesus is our salvation. We need to turn to Him and allow Him to lead us and guide us in our everyday lives.
