Welcome to Lessons From the Psalms with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Psalm 51. Psalm 51 is one of my favorite psalms. It was written by King David, a former king of Israel. In this psalm King David is repenting before God for the sins he has committed - namely committing adultery with Bathsheba (and then having her husband, Uriah killed because he could not cover up the fact that he had made her pregnant). It is a reminder to each of us the ramifications of just how costly sin can be. I would recommend that you begin a plan to include the reading of Psalm 51 at least once a month as a reminder.
