Welcome to Lessons From the Psalms with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Psalm 45. Psalm 45 was written by the Sons of Korah. It is a depiction of the bliss of a wedding taking place between a husband and a wife. It is also a depiction of Jesus coming to earth and preparing Himself for His church. Verses 2-5 go over the directions of the bridegroom as he is preparing for his bride. Verses 6-9 speak of Jesus preparing Himself for His church. Verses 10-14 are directions for the bride as she prepares herself for her king (or husband). These verses include the direction that she is to leave her mother and father and be prepared to cleave to her husband - she is preparing for him.
