Welcome to Lessons From the Psalms with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Psalm 44. Psalm 44 is attributed to the Sons of Korah. The first three verses remind us of how God had miraculously delivered the Israelites from 400 years of bondage. This story would be passed on from generation to generation. My guess is that these stories would take place around the campfire - as they did not have Fox News nor CNN back then. Verses 4-8 are reminders for us today. If we have a need, we should seek God in prayer. He will hear our prayer. Verses 9-22 remind us that sometimes circumstances will come against us. Many times we sense that God is no longer with us, as we can't sense His presence. However, verses 23-26 remind us to be patient. Continue believing and trusting God, and He will hear us and deliver us from what is coming against us.
