Welcome to Lessons From the Psalms with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Psalm 41. Psalm 41 finishes the first Book of Psalms. This psalm was written by David, the King of Israel who is bedridden by some sickness or disease. His enemies are coming against him and speak as though he may even die. However, David praises God. This psalm promises that, if we consider the poor, that we will be delivered from our troubles, that the Lord will sustain and keep us alive, and that we will be blessed. He also tells us that we will be delivered from our enemies. David confesses to God that he has sinned, and pleads with God to deliver him. Even though his enemies are coming against him, David praises the Lord - because he knows that the Lord will ultimately be with him and sustain him.
