Welcome to Lessons from the Psalms with Bill Kelley. Today we will take a look at Psalm 4. Psalm 4 is closely linked with Psalm 3. Psalm 4 is the first of the psalms that was written to the chief musician - meaning that is was to be sung - along with stringed instruments. In verse 1, it is very obvious the close relationship that David has with his God. In verses 2-5 David makes intercession for the unbelievers of his day. He tells them that they should trust in God - as we should all do today. In verses 6-8 David implies that it is only with a deep, intimate relationship with God will we really feel safe, that we will have true joy and that we will have real peace in our hearts.
