Welcome to Lessons From the Psalms with Bill Kelley. Friends, in Psalm 35 David is hiding (and running away from King Saul) - the current king of Israel. Although you may not have enemies in your life that you are battling, there will always be some type of adversity in our lives that we are facing! I will read this entire psalm and then key in on a few verses. Verses 9 & 10 remind us that, regardless of what adversity we are facing in our lives, that our souls can still be joyful. David is reminding us of the faithfulness of God - and that we just need to "hang on." God is faithful, and will come through for us. In verse 22 & 23 David is asking God to intervene in the circumstance he is currently in. the Bible promises that God will never leave us nor forsake us. And in verses 27 & 28, David reminds us that, although we may have people (or situations) that are against us, we will always have people on our side (God will always be on our side)!
