Welcome to Lessons From the Psalms with Bill Kelley. In Psalm 34 David is praising God for His goodness and mercy. It is one of my favorite psalms. It reminds us throughout the psalm that if we seek God, He will hear us. It reminds us of the goodness of God and tells us that if we trust in Him, we will be blessed! It also cautions us that we are to depart from evil and do good - because He is good. It also promises us that if we live our lives righteously that the Lord will have His eyes on us and protect us. Finally, this psalm assures us that He will deliver us from all of our troubles - if we wait patiently upon Him.
