Welcome to Lessons From the Psalms with Bill Kelley. Today we will be looking at Psalm 16. Psalm 16 begins with King David telling God that he puts his trust in Him. Friends, this is why David was known as a man after God's own heart. He understood the importance of having a relationship with the one true God. Verse 7 speaks of blessing the Lord who has given us counsel. Friends, our counsel is the Word of God itself (the Bible). Anything we have need of can be found in the pages of the Bible. Verse 8 acknowledges that God is always with us - such a comforting thought. Verse 11 closes beautifully with the statement - "You will show me the path of life." Yes, if you truly seek the Lord, He will direct your steps.
