Lessons From the Psalms - Psalm 138

Welcome to Lessons From the Psalms with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Psalm 138. Psalm 138 is the first of eight consecutive psalms that are attributed to King David of Israel. He was known as a man after God's own heart. After reading this psalm I will give my thoughts on each verse. I will then go over the three thoughts that I would like for everyone to consider:
1. I give you thanks, O Lord, with my whole heart. (Friends, we should be thankful to God at all times - because of all the things that He has given us.)
2. On the day I called, you answered me, my strength of soul you increased. (Friends, when you are in trouble in life, I encourage you to call upon the name of the Lord. He will answer you).
3. The Lord will fulfill His purpose for me; Do not forsake the work of your hands. (Friends, we each have some call that God has asked us to fulfill. We also have people in our lives that only we can share the love of God with.
