Lessons From the Psalms - Psalm 135

Welcome to Lessons From the Psalms with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Psalm 135. Psalm 135 is an anonymous psalm. It is the first psalm after the 15 consecutive Songs of Ascent. It is written with the Jewish people in mind - (this includes us - as we have been grafted into the family of God). After reading the psalm there are three things I ask that you consider:
1. We should praise the Lord at all times (friends - we should be consistently thinking about praising God - for all of the things that He has given us, and all the times that He has been there when we were hurting, and needed help).
2. God is supreme and in charge of all things. (friends, God is the creator of the universe - and all that it is in it - including all of the elements in the world).
3. We are not to have any idols in our life (we should have nothing in our lives that we make more important that our relationship with our Heavenly Father).
