Welcome to Lessons From the Psalms with Bill Kelley. Today we will be looking at Psalm 13. Psalm 13 was written by King David. In this psalm David is in deep distress and is calling out to God. He is asking God how long He is going to wait to intervene in the situation David presently finds himself in. In verses 3 & 4, he even pleads with God not to allow David to die in the situation he is presently in and to not allow his enemies to be victorious over him. But, in verse 5, this psalm totally turns around. David remembers the God in whom he serves. He realizes that the Lord is his salvation, and that he can put his trust in Him. Friends, if you haven't received the salvation that only Jesus can bring to your life, put your trust in Him, and receive Him as your Lord and Savior.
