Lessons From the Psalms - Psalm 107

Welcome to Lessons From the Psalms with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Psalm 107. Psalm 107 is an anonymous psalm and is the first psalm of Book 5 of the Book of Psalms. The theme of this psalm is that the mercy of God endures forever. This psalm also tells us of five places that we can be stuck in (the wilderness, in exile or in prison, a foolish person, in a storm, or in barren lands) that God can deliver you from. By the end of today's lesson there are three things I ask that you consider:
1. Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, Who He has redeemed from the hand of the enemy. (If you turn to God He will deliver you from whatever circumstance that you are in).
2. He sent His word and healed them - a well known verse (speaks of the importance of opening up the Bible, and reading it for our own edification).
3. He calms the storm, so that its waves are still (friends, there are times when we feel we are in the middle of the storm - that is when we need to reach out to God, and He will comfort us).
