Welcome to Lessons From the Psalms with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Psalm 100. Psalm 100 is the last of 10 consecutive psalms that are anonymous. Psalm 100 is a delightful 5-verse psalm that is a blueprint of how we should live our lives. After reading the psalm I will break each verse down. Verse 1 instructs all of the people of the world to should to the Lord. He has done so much for us, this should be our natural reaction to Him.
Verse 2 tells us that we should serve Him and that we should sing when we enter His presence. Verse 3 reminds us that God was our creator and that we are the sheep of His pasture - and Jesus is the Good Shepherd. Verse 4 reminds us that we should always be thankful and that we should always praise Him.Verse 5 closes with a reminder of how merciful God is towards us and that His truth (His word - the Holy Bible) will endure forever.
