This is the reading of Psalm 1 . Psalm 1 is the foundation of all of the Book of Psalms. It is considered a "wisdom psalm" meaning that we can separate verses 1-3 distinctly from verses 4-6. Verses 1-3 deal with people who follow God and lead righteous lives. Verses 4-6 deal with people who do not follow God and lead lives against the word of God.
