920. Titus Chapter 2 - We should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age -11/19/25

Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 19. I will then key in on verse 11 - The discretion of a man makes him slow to anger, And his his glory is to overlook a transgression. Friends, one of the signs of maturity is to become more patient - and become slow to get angry. Another sigh is to learn to overlook small transgressions that people commit in our presence. We need to be mindful that we also make mistakes. We need to have mercy and compassion on people as well. On today's podcast we will be going over Chapter 2 of the short book names Titus. This chapter goes over how the church should behave (but I think it encapsulates how all mature people should behave). By the end of today's lesson there are three things I ask that you consider:
1. The older men and women of the church are to teach the young men and young women by their examples.
2. Bondservants are to be obedient to their masters (in our world today that would read that employees are to be obedient to their employers).
3. We should live soberly righteously, and godly in the present age. (Friends, if we openly proclaim to be Christians people will watch everything we do and listen to every word we say. We are to be different and stand out from the people around us.

Call to Action - Ask yourself how much like Jesus ae you? (I know that it's easy to push that question aside and say to yourself - Jesus was the Son of God - I'm nothing like Him) - but the Bible tells us that we are to be like Him.
