877. Luke, Chapter 20 (#3) - We Should treat everyone with love and respect - September 11, 2025

Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 11. I will then key in on verse 2 - When pride comes, then comes shame; But with the humble is wisdom. This verse - like many verses in the Book of Proverbs often contrast those who have pride as compared to those who have humility. This verse declares that shame will "attach itself" to those who have pride, while those who practice humility will have wisdom. On today's podcast we will continue our study of the Gospel, according to Luke. Today we will go a passage of scripture entitled Is it lawful to pay taxes to Caesar? By the end of today's lesson there are three things I ask that you consider:
1. Their common hatred of Christ was great enough that the Pharisees and Herodians joined forces against Him.l
2. Peter forcefully commands Christians to submit voluntarily to governing authorities.
3. We should treat everyone with love and respect.
Scripture referenced of today's podcast:
Proverb 11:2; Luke 20:20-26; Matthew 22:15-17; 1 Peter 2:13-17; Romans 13:1-7
Call to Action - Having pride is the opposite of having humility. My question for each of you today is which one do you lean toward while living your everyday life (pride or having humility)?
