Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 14. I will then key in on verse 3 - In the mouth of a fool is a rod of pride, But the lips of the wise will preserve them. Friends, when the Bible speaks of fools they are usually referring to non-Christians - people who have not received Jesus into their hearts. They often are spoken of negatively in the Bible - as the things they do usually end up causing harm in some way or fashion. On today's podcast I will begin b y reviewing the three points I brought up on last Friday's podcast (Episode #765- I invite you to check it out if you did not get a chance to listen to it). By the end of today's podcast there are three things I ask that you consider:
1. Even a fool appears wise when he holds his peace.
2. Do everything without complaining and arguing so that no one can criticize you,
3. Abstain from fleshly lusts which war against your soul.
Scriptures referenced on today's podcast:
Proverb 14:3; Proverb 17:28; Philippians 2:14-16; 1 Peter 2:11-12
Call to Action - Ask yourself these three questions:
1. Do you consider the words you will be saying (prior to opening your mouth)?
2. Do you consider the things that you will do (prior to doing them - as people will be watching your every move - if you have identified yourself as a Christian).
3. Abstain from fleshly lusts which war against your soul.
