Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 21. I will then key in on verses 2, 19 & 29. Verse 2 speaks about people who rely on their own intellect, power, and strength - and not necessarily to God. The second part of the verse tells us that God weighs the hearts. God is looking for a heart change in each an every one of us. In verse 9 & 19 both verses discuss the "contentious" woman. Let me change that to "contentious" person - as this can pertain to either a man or woman. The bottom line is - contention involves strife - or lack of peace in the home. We are to strive for harmony and peace in our homes. By the end of this podcast there are three things I ask that you consider:
1. God will give you the desires of your heart.
2. Avoid strife to the best of your ability.
3. Be patient when waiting on the Lord.
