669. Hosea - Back to Baal - October 24, 2024

Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 24. I will then key in on both verses 13 & 14 - My son, eat honey because it is good And the honeycomb which is sweet to your taste; So shall the knowledge of wisdom be to your soul; If you have found it, there is a prospect, And your hope will not be cut off. Friends, where is your mindset? Do you do things because it is the right thing to do (doing thing God's way, or do you do things according to your flesh - and what feels good (even if it is clearly not what God would have you to do?)
On today's podcast I will go over an article entitled "Back to Baal." By the end of today's podcast there are three things I ask that you consider:
1. Baal was the most important deity in the Canaanite pantheon.
2. God is the only living God.
3. Baal's favor was gained through sympathetic magic in the form of ritual prostitution.
