Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 19. I will then key in on verse 1 - Better is the poor who walks in his integrity Than one who is perverse in his lips, and is a fool. Friends, as we will learn in today's introductory lesson of the Book of Hosea, we will find that Hosea was a man full of integrity. He wasn't concerned with whether he was poor or rich, but that he was obedient to the word of the Lord for his life. By the end of today's lesson there are three things I ask that you consider:
1. Being a prophet has its occupational hazards.
2. Hosea prophesied during the 8th Century B.C.
3. God's love will win out in the end.
Call to Action - Would you have been willing to do what Hosea did (marry a woman who, in essence, ended up being a prostitute)? Tough question, but one we must consider - knowing that we are called to do what He has called each and every one of us to do.
