Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 3. I will then key in on verses 5 & 6 - Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. Friends, if you haven't committed theses two verses to memory, I highly encourage you to do so. These are verses that you can always hang your hat on. Someone in the Old Testament who understood these two verses was the Prophet Elijah. He trusted God. He went to the new king Ahab and informed him that Israel was entering a period of famine. By the end of this lesson there are three things that I ask that you consider:
1. Elijah proclaims a drought for Israel.
2. God provides for Elijah during the drought.
3. Elijah prophecies the the widow (and her son) will be provided for (during the drought).
Call to Action - Ask yourself if you are in God's perfect will. Are you doing all that He has called you to do? If not, please seek Him in prayer and ask Him if there is anything that He would like for you to be doing that you are not presently doing?
