490 - Philemon - A Letter of Forgiveness (and Grace) February 16, 2024

Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 16. I will then key in on verse 7 - When a man's ways please the Lord, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him. On today's podcast I will be sharing a short letter that the Apostle Paul wrote to a dear friend names Philemon. Philemon is a slave holder and has become a follower of the Apostle of Paul. He has even begun a home church with his wife. Philemon had a slave named Onesimus who stole something from him and ran away. He eventually was imprisoned in the cell next to the Apostle Paul. Paul has witnessed to him, and Onesimus has been saved in his prison cell. He is now ready to be released and Paul hands him this letter to give to his former owner. It is a wonderful story about forgiveness and grace.
