1. God is still speaking to us today (1 Kings 109:11-13)
2. God controls the elements of this world (Psalm 65:7)
3. We cannot look directly at the sun (Exodus 34:29-33)
Going back to our verse of the day, I looked up the word backbiting. It means malicious talk ab out someone who is not present. Friends, this would be gossip. Nothing good comes from gossip and we should avoid it if at all possible.
Call to Action - Ask yourself this question - Do I hear from God (or the Holy Spirit)? God can speak to us through His Word (the Holy Bible), through our spouse, our children, our parents, or other people in our lives, or in everyday circumstances. We need to be open to the fact that He desires to speak to His children.
