Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 25. I will then key in on verses 8-10: Do not go hastily to court; For what will you do in the end, When your neighbor has put you to shame? Debate your case with your neighbor, And do not disclose the secret to another; Lest he who hears it expose your shame, And your reputation be ruined. Friends, we live in a time in our world today where people have so little tolerance for anyone different from them and people take offense at the slightest thing. I am going to go over several scriptures today which hopefully will convince you that there is another way:
1. 1 Peter 4: 7-8
2. 1 Corinthians 13: 4-8
3. Luke 13:32-34
4. John 13:33-35
5. Hebrews 10:12-14
These verses tell us we should overlook petty sins that people commit against us; we go over the definition of love and how we know whether love is present in a certain situation, or not. We go over Jesus on the cross asking God to forgive the people who have wronged Him and put Him on the cross.
