Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 16. I will then key in on verse 23 - The heart of the wise teaches his mouth, And adds learning to his lips. Friends inside our hearts dwells our inmost thought. What we truly believe resides in our hearts. And whatever is in our hearts will come out in the words that we speak. So, take a deep breath, and weigh your words prior to opening your mouth. We are going to continue our study in humility by looking at the character Job. Historians' best guess as to when Job lived on Earth conclude that he was born around the same time as Abraham. Thus, he lived about 4,500 years ago. As we learn about Job, we will see that he was faithful to God, that he was a man of integrity, and ultimately, that he walked with humility. I will discuss five things today:
1. Job is faithful (Chapter 1:verses 6-12)
2. Job continues to be faithful (Chapter 2: verses 7-10)
3. Job maintains his integrity -( Chapter #27: verses 2-8)
4. Job yields to God - (Chapter #40:verses 3-5)
5. Job repents & humbles himself to God (Chapter #42:verses 1-6)
Call to Action - I ask that you pray to God and ask Him to reveal anything that you have to surrender in your life and ask Him to help you lay it down at His alter.
