Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 13. I will then key in on verse 3 - He who guards his mouth preserves his life, But he who opens wide his lips shall have destruction. When I think of this verse, I think of a life guard (who is by the pool to protect and preserve the life of anyone who is in danger of drowning in the pool). Friends, if we are careless with our words, we can end up "killing ourselves." We can perhaps get fired (if we say the wrong words to our boss), or maybe getting in "hot water" with our spouse (if we say words that we will soon regret saying). If we open our mouths wide we will have destruction. I think of the "big mouth". We all know who I'm talking about. Friends, choose your words carefully. Think before you speak. I will then share a brief testimony about how I came to the realization that I had need of a Savior.
