183. Exodus - Chapter #7 - Plague #1 - Turning Water Into Blood - December 14, 2022

Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 14. I will then key in on verse 3 - In the mouth of a fool is a rod of pride, But the lips of the wise will preserve them. Friends, this is such practical advice for any of us today. This particular verse once again separates the difference between those who have wisdom and those that don't (fools). This can be in the form of the words that we speak. We can be our own worst enemy. It's like we have a noose around our neck and the more that we speak (if we don't choose our words wisely) the tighter we make that noose tighten around our necks. Because of the words we speak, we can often lose our jobs, our marriages, the relationships we have with our parents, (grandparents, kids, etc.) We will the continue our study in the book of Exodus. Today we will be taking a glimpse at Chapter 7. Three things that I would ask that you consider are these:
1. God hardens Pharaoh's heart. I will then read verses 1-7. God knew what was going to happen. The only way that the Israelites would be ab le to leave the land of Egypt is if Pharaoh allowed it.
2. Aaron's miraculous rod - this is the same rod we've talked about before. This rod represents the Word of God. Through this rod God is going to display his great power to Pharaoh.
3. Plague #1- By casting the rod of God over the water, the waters of all of Egypt (the rivers, the canals, everything) turned into blood. I will then begin the new segment of my podcast entitled - CALL TO ACTION .
