[00:00:00] Welcome to the reading of the King James Bible.
[00:00:03] Hello, my name is Bill Kelley and I will be your host.
[00:00:08] This is a reading from the book of Psalms.
[00:00:11] This is Psalm 107.
[00:00:14] Oh, give thanks unto the Lord for He is good, for His mercy in dual-rith forever.
[00:00:22] Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom He half redeemed from the hand of the enemy.
[00:00:30] And gathered them out of the lands from the east and from the west,
[00:00:36] from the north and from the south.
[00:00:39] They wandered in the wilderness in a solitary way.
[00:00:44] They found no city to dwell in, hungry and thirsty.
[00:00:49] Their soul fainted in them.
[00:00:52] Then they cried unto the Lord in their trouble.
[00:00:56] And He delivered them out of their distresses.
[00:01:01] And He led them forth by the right way that they might go to a city of habitation.
[00:01:09] Oh, that men would praise the Lord for His goodness and for His wonderful works
[00:01:16] to the children of man.
[00:01:18] For He satisfiedeth the longing soul and filleth the hungry soul with goodness.
[00:01:26] Such as sit in darkness and in the shadow of death,
[00:01:31] being bound in a fliction and iron.
[00:01:35] Because they rebelled against the words of God,
[00:01:39] and contembed the counsel of the most high.
[00:01:44] Therefore He brought down their heart with labor.
[00:01:48] They fell down and there was none to help.
[00:01:53] Then they cried unto the Lord in their trouble.
[00:01:57] And He saved them out of their distresses.
[00:02:01] He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death
[00:02:06] and break their bans in thunder.
[00:02:10] Oh, that men would praise the Lord for His goodness
[00:02:14] and for His wonderful works to the children of man.
[00:02:19] For He half broken the gates of brass and cut the bars of iron in thunder.
[00:02:27] Fools because of their transgression and because of their inequities are afflicted.
[00:02:35] Their soul of horrorth all manner of meat and they draw near unto the gates of death.
[00:02:44] Then they cry unto the Lord in their trouble.
[00:02:48] And He saitheth them out of their distresses.
[00:02:52] He sent His word and healed them and delivered them from their distructions.
[00:03:00] Oh, that men would praise the Lord for His goodness and for His wonderful works
[00:03:07] to the children of man.
[00:03:10] And let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving and declare His works with rejoicing.
[00:03:20] They go down to the sea in ships that do business in great waters.
[00:03:27] These sea, the works of the Lord and His wonders in the deep.
[00:03:33] For He commandeth and raises the stormy wind which lifteth up the waves thereof.
[00:03:41] They mount up to the heaven.
[00:03:44] They go down again to the depths.
[00:03:47] Their soul is melted because of trouble.
[00:03:51] They reel to and fro and stagger like a drunken man and are at their widths end.
[00:04:01] Then they cry unto the Lord in their trouble and He bringeth them out of their distresses.
[00:04:09] He makeeth the storm a calm so that the waves thereof are still.
[00:04:16] Then are they glad because they be quiet?
[00:04:21] So He bringeth them unto their desired haven.
[00:04:25] Oh, that men would praise the Lord for His goodness and for His wonderful works to the children of man.
[00:04:35] Let them exalt Him also in the congregation of the people and praise Him in the assembly of the elders.
[00:04:45] He turneth rivers into a wilderness and the water springs into dry ground.
[00:04:52] A fruitful land into beariness for the wickedness of them that dwell therein.
[00:05:01] He turneth the wilderness into a standing water and dry ground into water springs.
[00:05:09] And there He makeeth the hungry to dwell that they may prepare a city for habitation
[00:05:17] and sow the fields and plant vineyards which may yield fruits of increase.
[00:05:25] He blesseth them also so that they are multiplied greatly and suffereth not their cattle to decrease.
[00:05:35] Again, they are minished and brought low through oppression, affliction and sorrow.
[00:05:44] He poureth contempt upon princes and causeeth them to wander into wilderness where there is no way.
[00:05:54] Yet, seteth he the poor on high from affliction and makeeth him families like a flock.
[00:06:04] The righteous shall see it and rejoice and all iniquity shall stop her mouth.
[00:06:12] Who sow is wise and will observe these things, even they shall understand the loving kindness of the Lord.
