Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 15. I will then key in on verse 4 - A gentle tongue is a tree of life, but perverseness in it breaks the spirit. Friends, many times we are in a situation where we want to "point out" to people things they are doing wrong (in our opinion). Friends, how we go about this can make all the difference in the world. If we approach them lovingly, there is a much better chance that whoever it is we are "correcting (our spouse, a child, a parent, a good friend, or a fellow employee) they will take our advice and maybe change what they are doing. One thing for sure - if you do it with anger, they will NOT hear what you have to say. On today's podcast I will go over five verses which have to do with encouraging people. By the end of today's lesson there are three things I ask that you consider:
1. The Lord Himself goes before you and will be with you.
2. But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.
3. Encourage one another and build each other up.
Scriptures referenced on today's podcast:
Proverb 15:4; Deuteronomy 31:7-8; 1 Thessalonians 5:11; Isaiah 40:31; Isaiah 43:2; Joshua 1:1-9
Call to Action - Begin to encourage the people that you come in contact with (whether they are people that you are close to - or even people that you have never met).
