982. Romans Chapter 13 - Let every person be subject to the governing authorities - March 26, 2026

Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 26. I will then key in on verse 28 - A lying tongue hates its victims, and a flattering mouth works ruin. Friends, this is a very telling verse about how destructive our words can be. If you are willing to lie to someone you are with, the verse says that you hate that person. Think about that for a moment. The Bible tells us that God hates lying (Proverb 6 -verse 19. The second part of that verse says that if you flatter someone (maybe to gain some favor with them) that it will bring forth ruin. Very important verse to remember! On today's podcast we will be going over the importance of obeying those that are in authority over us (Romans 13:1-7). By the end of today's lesson there are three things I ask that you consider:

1. Let every person be subject to the governing authorities.

2. Therefore one must be in subjection not only to avoid God's wrath, but also for the sake of conscience.

3. The tree of life once banned to guilty humanity will satisfy the city's residents year around (that is - in heaven)

Scriptures referenced on today's podcast:

Proverb 26:28; Romans 13:1-7; Titus 3:1; Psalm 75:7; Daniel 2:21; Daniel 2:44; Revelation 22:1-5

Call to action - Close your eyes and think about what it will be like in heaven (described at the end of today's lesson).
