Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will go over Proverb 4. I will then key in on verses 8 and 9. These verses detail the supreme importance of having wisdom in your life. I will then go over an example of someone in the Bible who did NOT have wisdom. The man is Judas Iscariot, a disciple of Jesus. At one time, Jesus trusted this man a great deal - as He had made him treasurer of all of the money that flowed through the hands of the ministry of Jesus. I will then go over the account of how Judas betrayed Jesus: Mark 14: 10-11; Mathew 26: 14-16; and Luke 22: 3-6. I will then read the account in each of these three gospels - actually beginning the account in Luke's gospel in verses 1 and 2. Judas actually betrayed Jesus for 30 silver coins (the price of a common slave - see Exodus 21: 32). I will then read the commentary of verse 4 detailing how important it was for the Jewish elders to have Judas's cooperation. I will then review John 10:10, go over Proverb 4:8 and 9 again and give the account of how Judas's life ended in Mather 27: 3-5.
