Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 1. I will then key in on verse 7. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, But fools despise wisdom and instruction. Friends, this is a very foundational verse. What this verse says is that if you do not fear the Lord then you cannot have wisdom. A very powerful truth - one that we each need to understand. On today's podcast we will continue our study of the Gospel, according to Luke. Today we will be going over a parable beginning on verse 11 and going through verse 27 of Luke, Chapter 19. By the end of today's lesson there are three things I ask that you consider:
1. The popular expectation and hope was that Christ would establish His kingdom immeditately.
2. Jesus wants to see fruit in each our lives today.
3. A person must use the gifts God has given to them, or they will lose them.
Scriptures referenced on today's podcast:
Proverb 1:7; Luke 19:11-27; Acts 1:6-8; Matthew 25:29-30; Job 28:28
Call to Action: First, have you received Jesus as your Lord and risen Savior? Next, has your life changed since you've done that? (have you stopped doing things you used to do; have you, maybe, given up some friends that you used to have)?
