Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 6. I will then key in on verse 23 - For the commandment is a lamp, And the law a light; Reproofs of instruction are the way of life. Friends, this verse speaks of the importance of visiting (and reading) scripture (the Bible) on a regular basis. On today's podcast we will continue our study of the Gospel, according to Luke. Before beginning today's lesson I will review the three points I brought up on Monday's podcast (Episode #850 - If you didn't get a chance to tune in to that podcast I invite you to check it out). We will then begin today's lesson, covering verses 11-19 of Chapter 17 of Luke. This passage of scripture is entitled 10 Lepers cleansed. By the end of today's lesson there are three things I ask that you consider:
1. Go, show yourselves to the priests.
2. And so it was that as they went, they were cleansed.
3. A hated foreigner was the only former leper who gave glory to God for his cleansing.
Scriptures referenced on today's podcast:
Proverb 6:23; Luke 17:11-19; Luke 9:51-52; Leviticus 13:46
Call to Action - Are you reading scripture (the Bible) on a regular basis? Have you come up with a plan (or schedule) to read the entire Bible? If not, I would encourage you to come up with a plan.
