838. Luke, Chapter 15 (#5) - My son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost and is found - July 16, 2025

Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 16. I will then key in on verses 16 - Commit your works to the Lord, And your thoughts will be established. Friends, if we put our trust in Jesus our thoughts will be established (so I encourage everyone listening to do that from here on out). On today's podcast we will continue our study of the Gospel according to Luke. I will begin by reviewing the three points I brought up on yesterday's podcast (Episode #837 - if you did not get a chance to tune in, I invite you to do so). Today we will be going over Luke, Chapter 15, verses 21-24. By the end of today's lesson there are three things I ask that you consider:

1. The returning son was made a full member of the family again.

2. My son was dead, ans is alive again; he was lost, and is found.

3. Confessed sins are covered by the sacrifice of His perfect Son on the Cross (the blood of Jesus).

Scriptures referenced on today's podcast:

Proverb 16:3; Luke 15:21-24; Psalm 51:1-4

Call to Action - Ask yourself these questions - Have you put your trust in Jesus? Do you go to Him in your time of need? Do you ask Him to forgive you when you knowingly sin?
