Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 18. I will then key in on verse 16. Verse 16 is a lesson that we can learn from today's lesson. We all have gifts. We are to use our gifts to give glory to God, and to exalt Him - not ourselves. I will begin today's podcast by reviewing the three points I introduced on Monday's podcast (Episode #821 - if you didn't get a chance to tune in to that episode, I invite you to do so). I will then continue our study of the Gospel, according to Luke. Today we will be going over the verse 11 verses of Chapter 14. By the end of today's lesson there are three things I ask that you consider:
1. Jesus would heal on the Sabbath Day.
2. When at a wedding reception, be aware of your surroundings.
3. Whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.
Scripture referenced on today's podcast:
Proverb 18:16; Luke 14:1-11; Numbers 5:11-27
Call to Action - Do you ever exalt yourself in front of people (talk to people about some of the more impressive things you've done in your life)? If you have done this in the past, may I suggest that you humble yourself - by praying to God and asking Him to take away that desire from you?
