Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 4. I will then key in on verses 14-17. These verses are a good description of how the Pharisees often acted when Jesus was around. They weren't concerned with doing good - they were concerned with being strictly ruled by the law, and the implementation of it. We will begin today's podcast by reviewing the three points I had introduced on Monday's podcast (Episode #816 - If you did not get a chance to listen to that podcast I invite you to do so). Today we will continue our study of the Gospel of Luke, looking at verses 10-17 of Chapter 13. By the end of today's podcast there are three things I ask that you consider:
1. With Jesus, your life can change in an instant.
2. Jesus is Lord of the Sabboth.
3. Jesus chose to do good on the Sabboth.
Scriptures referenced on today's podcast:
Proverb 4:14-17; Luke 13:10-17; Mark 2:23-28; Luke 6:6-11
Call to Action - Ask yourself this question - Do you have compassion for people who are hurting (those that are obviously in need of something in their life)? Jesus had compassion on the unfortunate of His day (we, likewise, should have compassion on those hurting in our world today).
