795. How to Become a Mature Christian (#8) - To be Carnally minded is Death, but to be Spiritually minded is Life and Peace - April 18, 2025

Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 18. I will then key in on verse 4 - The words of a man's mouth are deep waters; The wellspring of wisdom is a flowing brook. Friends, our words should be powerful, and we are to use them in such a way as to benefit people. On today's podcast I will begin by reviewing the three points I introduced on last Friday's podcast (#790 - if you didn't get a chance to tune in, I invite you to do so). I will then continue our study entitled How to Become a Mature Christian. Friends, becoming a Christian has a responsibility that goes with it. People watch what we do and listen to the words that we speak. We are representatives of Jesus - and should be like him. By the end of today's lesson there are three things I ask that you consider:

1. Seek ye first the kngdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

2. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding.

3. To be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

Scriptures referenced on today's podcast:

Proverb 18:4; Matthew 6:25-34; Proverb 3:5-6; Romans 8:1-6

Call to Action - Ask yourself these questions:

1. Do you go to your job and do everything without complaining?

2. Do you have a smile on your face and do all you can to make the work environment around you better?
